Tuesday Morning Classes

Lies Women Believe

In her book, Lies Women Believe, Nancy Leigh DeMoss exposes many areas of deception that enslave Christian women today, including lies about our marriages, emotions, circumstances, ourselves and sin.  If you long to walk in freedom and true joy, join us for this study and explore God’s truth, the most effective weapon against Satan’s deception.

Romans

The book of Romans teaches us God’s plan of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  Paul’s masterfully written letter to the believers in Rome has changed the hearts of many as they read and understand the truths nestled inside.  This year-long study will open your eyes to these truths – and the results will be transformative!

Grace Walk

Steve McVey shows us in Grace Walk that Jesus will do more through us than we could ever do for Him – if we will only let Him.  Regardless of where you are in your Christian walk, you will discover in this study the incomparable joy of letting Jesus live through you.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DURING TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

The Women of Grace Tuesday morning Bible studies are looking for women who would be willing to use their hearts and hands to minister to the children of the women participating in the Bible studies. While these women are in their classes, we will offer quality time for their children. We need women who love children and want to help them learn about God. We will give you great curriculum and all the help you will need for you to help these children fall in love with Him. God has gifted each of us to do the work He has planned for us – has He gifted you to work with children?

Grace will be hosting MOPS International beginning in the fall.  MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, although your child/ren do not have to be in preschool for you to join.  If you have a child at the infant stage through age 5, please consider joining us this fall.  We will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, beginning September 12th.  Our time together will go from 9:15-11:15 a.m.  Registration costs $48 – which includes childcare!

MOPS is a great place to connect with other moms who are going through the same stage of life as you.  Our goal is to provide a place for moms to enter into fellowship with one another, while learning some helpful information at the same time.  Most meetings will include a speaker who will share information on topics that relate to life as a mom, while other meetings may contain a craft or special holiday-related activity.  While we meet, our kids will be taken care of in the childcare wing by nurturing volunteers.  They will have a time for playing, snacking, and a Veggie-Tales lesson.

We know that your time as a mom is sacred, and schedules can fill up quickly.  Consider taking these two days each month to meet with us and grow as a mom, so that you can be a better person for your family.

If you are interested in signing up, please email Jen Wohltmann at jwohltmann@comcast.net

Become part of a worldwide community of mothers praying for children and schools from elementary through college. When we place our children in God’s hands through the power of prayer, we call forth God’s blessing and protection. You will learn to pray using four steps:  praise, confession, thanksgiving, and intercession.  Groups meet one hour weekly.

Day groups:  Selina Savinell, 7lselina@gmail.com

Evening groups:  Donna Peeler, dpeeler@jhmi.edu

In our quilting group, we work side by side to send aid to people anywhere in the world where people have experienced famine, war, or earthly disasters (floods, fires, hurricanes, etc.).  The mission is to win souls for the Lord by providing much needed daily necessities.  This past year our quilt group made and donated 9 quilts that raised $725.  Somewhere in the world we are touching lives for Christ.  All students were beginners!  They did very well.

Classes meet Thursdays 8:30 am to 3 pm.

Sessions run as follows:  Summer, July 12–August 23;  Fall, September 13–November 15;  Winter January 10–March 21;  Spring, April 11–May 23
